Leopard is one of my favorite prints.  Since it is a bold pattern, I usually like to pair it with a neutral color like black or tan, and then add a little pop of color, like red or orange.

This look most likely would be appropriate for a dressy event, such as a wedding or bridal shower; however, with more casual pumps and a neutral clutch, it easily could be worn to work.

For the most part, I tend to style a lot of looks around what you would wear after work hours. I think it is because I am most comfortable in jeans and I like shoes, in particular high heels. So, I thought I would show a look from day to night based around a simple blue/green top. A lot of the pieces that I found are from Mango. I am not that familiar with the store, but it looks like it has some great jackets and tops at a reasonable price. Have you ever shopped there and what did you think?

How to Wear: Red & Blue

I usually think of pairing red and blue together for a patriotic holiday, such as Memorial Day or Fourth of July; however, recently, I have started to see this color combo as a fashion trend. Although, it was seen on the runways back in Fall 2011, it seems to be more common today. Also, I got some inspiration from this look of Diane Kruger. The blue is less navy and more cobalt and the red, more of an orange-ish hue. What do you think of these colors together - would you wear it? I am debating it - although, I might try wearing my cobalt blue pumps with a red top or jacket.

This outfit is a combination of some of my favorite items and current trends - striped skirts and studded sandals. I styled this look to be a little more casual with a denim jacket, but it could easily be dressed up with a black blazer, leather jacket, or cardigan.

It's Monday - hope you had a great weekend! Today, I thought I would share a few items that I have purchased recently. So far, I love the color (Afghan Red); however, it is a little dry and the color builds up, if I re-apply, so I am not sure about this.

How to Wear: Pencil Skirt

When I wear basic colors like white and black, I like to add a pop of color. I typically wear a lot of neutrals, so color is a way to make an outfit more exciting. For those like me that shy away from too much color, I tried to put together two combinations that added just enough pop of color.

Topshop Grid Print Panel Midi Skirt sold @ Nordstrom

For this look, I paired the grid patterned skirt with a classic white button (an essential in every wardrobe). I added a boyfriend cardigan in black and some studded bracelets. For a pop of color, I added the candy pink suede pumps. I am not a big pink person, but I think these are a fun color, and I like how pink pairs with white and black.

For this look, I kept it simple with a satin trim cami (another wardrobe essential and the ones from The Limited are great. If you have not tried them, I would highly recommend them!) and black pumps. I added a square necklace in gold, which mimics the grid pattern in the skirt. (Note: The Limited always has great necklaces, for reasonable prices.) For a pop of color, I added a tile blue cardigan, which could also be dressed down with jeans and flats.

Desk to Date Night!

Here is a day to night look that I put together on Polyvore for the Woolite & Sincerely Jules contest.

For work, I have paired a bright, sunny, yellow peplum top with a pencil skirt, simple, classic white jacket and polka dot pumps. For date night, I have paired the top with a quilted moto jacket, distressed jeans, and black pumps.
