How to Wear Stripes & New Series: Blogging Tips
SHOP THE LOOKS
4. Jeans: H&M // 5. Satchel: Tory Burch (20% off)

Other than leopard, stripes are probably the only other pattern I wear. Black and white (or beige) stripes are my favorite. They are classic and pair well with brown. You can also add a pop of color with red. I have recently been doing a lot of browsing and shopping at H&M. They have great prices. This striped dress that I found is only $13. It would be perfect for spring layered with a denim jacket or worn on its own in the summer with these platform sandals.
BLOGGING TIPS
Today, I am excited to announce a new blogging series that is starting today called - BLOGGING TIPS. I have paired up with 5 other blogs (Peaches in a Pod, Sweaters, Stripes & Sweets, Shoes to Shiraz, Doused in Pink, Pumps and Push Ups). Each week, we will be sharing our tips on everything from starting a blog, to working with brands and where to go for help. This week we are talking about what we wish we had known before we started a blog.
Also, our blogging series will be set up as a "Blog Hop"- so at the end of my post, I will link to the next blogger - be sure to hop over to her blog, and then, hop around until you have visited all six of us.

Shopbop is having its Friends & Family sale this week. You can get 25% almost everything - use the code INTHEFAM. It is a great time to buy those things you have wanted to get - but wanted to wait until they went on sale. Shopbop offers free shipping both ways - so there is no additional cost. I always look for places that offer free shipping - especially free return shipping. If you are not careful - shipping costs can add up. So, it is best to find the places with free shipping. Nordstrom is another place I like to shop that offers free shipping both ways - or you can even pick it up in the store.
As you may have noticed in my look yesterday - I like to pair leopard with yellow. It depends on the shade of the leopard print - but in most cases, I think it works really well. Denim is also a nice layering piece to add to the look.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow. I will be back with the women from The Blended Blog to show how we style a spring sweater. With this crazy weather (a snow storm on Saturday) - it is kind of difficult to dress for spring - but soon the snow will be gone and warmer weather will be here for good.
Lastly, my husband and I are in the process of updating some furniture and possibly remodeling our kitchen. (Oh how I would love to remodel our kitchen.) We have lived in our house almost 15 years - and it is time for a make-over. It is funny how all of sudden - things feel "old". I just bought this table yesterday. It will be here in a couple of weeks. And now, I am in the process of picking out the chairs and upholstery. (Only bad thing is that the chairs will take at least 10 weeks to arrive.) I may take a deviation from styling outfits a few days - and show some room updates instead.

Red Shoes & Fruit Crisp
I mentioned the other week that one of my favorite desserts to make is my 15 minute chocolate lava cake. The 15 minutes is both the prep and baking time. If you haven't tried it - I highly recommend you give it a try.

A Weekly Round Up of Everything RED
It's Friday - so I thought I would do a round-up of the week. You might have noticed a theme - everything I posted throughout the week centered around the color RED. Check back next week to see which color I have chosen. WARNING: this is a longer post - and hopefully you will make it to the end to see my picks for red summer shoes!
MONDAY
On Monday, I wore my $40 red split hem sweater that I picked up at Nordstrom. (In case you are wondering - it comes in a few other colors - like blue, navy, black, white, grey, and green.) And, it just happened that I was twinning with my blogging friend, Whitney over at Peaches in a Pod. We both happened to both wear red v-neck sweaters on Monday!
