This look is definitely something I would wear - and really a look that reminds me of the 90's.  I am loving the 90's influence this season.  I would have to say it is probably my most memorable era of trends.

It was the decade of alternative music and the grunge influence - Doc Martins and plaid flannels tied around our waist.  Anyone else like remember those trends?

Style Inspiration: Blake Lively Gucci Dress

This Halogen dress at Nordstrom reminds me of a Gucci dress Blake Lively wore in March.  The Nordstrom dress has a more graphical print, rather than plaid; however, it has a similar cut. I like how Nordstrom paired it with pink pumps, rather than trying to match the colors (yellow, gray, white) in the dress.  Also, I like how Blake Lively styled it with cap toe pumps and a rivet belt.

January Jones shows off a great classic black look with a pop of color in the skater skirt. Biker or moto jackets are a great layering piece and can easily be paired with a bold skirt for a more dressy, fun look.

For the most part, I tend to style a lot of looks around what you would wear after work hours. I think it is because I am most comfortable in jeans and I like shoes, in particular high heels. So, I thought I would show a look from day to night based around a simple blue/green top. A lot of the pieces that I found are from Mango. I am not that familiar with the store, but it looks like it has some great jackets and tops at a reasonable price. Have you ever shopped there and what did you think?

How to Wear: Red & Blue

I usually think of pairing red and blue together for a patriotic holiday, such as Memorial Day or Fourth of July; however, recently, I have started to see this color combo as a fashion trend. Although, it was seen on the runways back in Fall 2011, it seems to be more common today. Also, I got some inspiration from this look of Diane Kruger. The blue is less navy and more cobalt and the red, more of an orange-ish hue. What do you think of these colors together - would you wear it? I am debating it - although, I might try wearing my cobalt blue pumps with a red top or jacket.

This outfit is a combination of some of my favorite items and current trends - striped skirts and studded sandals. I styled this look to be a little more casual with a denim jacket, but it could easily be dressed up with a black blazer, leather jacket, or cardigan.
