How to Wear: Red & Blue

00_inspiration
I usually think of pairing red and blue together for a patriotic holiday, such as Memorial Day or Fourth of July; however, recently, I have started to see this color combo as a fashion trend. Although, it was seen on the runways back in Fall 2011, it seems to be more common today. Also, I got some inspiration from this look of Diane Kruger. The blue is less navy and more cobalt and the red, more of an orange-ish hue. What do you think of these colors together - would you wear it? I am debating it - although, I might try wearing my cobalt blue pumps with a red top or jacket.

Work Jackets

I am always on the lookout for a good jacket for work. For me, traditional business jackets, look too stuffy on me (and my body shape), so I usually tend to look for shorter, somewhat non-traditional styles, like a few that I have found today. I picked these because The Limited is having a sale - buy one, get one 50% off, plus they have extended their virtual dollars (if you have any to use).

Jacket #1: Stripes
Stripes are still a big trend this season, and I am glad because I like the way stripes add some movement to an outfit. To accent the winter white and black stripes, accessorize with a gold bracelet (or necklace, earrings, watch...).

Jacket #2: Nautical
Collarless jackets continue to be big trend, as seen on this jacket and others. Also, this jacket has a nautical theme with its navy color and anchor buttons on the sleeves.

Jacket #3: Peplum
Another trend that is still going strong is the peplum detail, seen in tops and jackets. I like this jacket because the peplum is minimized and not so obvious, so I feel it will last beyond the trend.
