Happy Monday.  I hope you had a great weekend!

One of my most popular looks last year was a workout outfit.  So, I thought it would be fun to pull together some workout outfits I have put together over the years.  That "will workout for pizza" look is still one of my favorites!

Did anyone watch the figure skating championships?  I have lost interest lately because there really has not been a stand-out woman for so long - really since the days of Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen.  I have to say - Mariah Bell - and her performance was beautiful.  I loved the choreography and the whole program - including her stunning dress.  I have watched it over and over - I enjoyed it so much!  (I am bummed she did not win - but that is the irritating point system that rewards jumps over artistry!)

Yesterday was my first day back to work since December 19th - and I survived!  I truly enjoyed my extended time off from work.  It was so nice to relax and not feel the pressures of work - or the commute!

This brings me to my encouraging thought for today - all about our attitude.  Something I continue to work on is my attitude and outlook on life and different situations.  Our mind and what we think is a powerful thing.  This is a quote from the book - Battlefield of the Mind

As I mentioned on Friday, I tend to gravitate towards neutral colors and one of my favorite style bloggers to follow is Fashion Jackson.  She wears a lot of whites, blacks, and neutrals - a lot like I do.   And, one of my outfits on repeat this winter is black jeans with a white sweater.   

Today, I am sharing some items I am selling on eBay.  Over the Christmas break, I cleaned out my closets and decided to sell some things.  Let me tell you - I don't know how people sell things all the time - because it takes a lot of time to get it all ready.  I just hope to make a little money back for the time spent.

My motivation for today is to be an encourager to start something new or tackle a project you have been procrastinating doing.  Even if it is just little steps - step forward in faith...

New Year + New Deals

Happy New Year!

My style is definitely more neutral colors - like black, grey, and beige.  I love this look with the black jeans and the grey sweater and coat.  This Christmas I got a new red sweater that I love - and have enjoyed wearing, but for the most part, I stick to the neutrals.

My encouragement today is about being a helpful encourager...

You are seeking God’s direction, but He does not seem to answer your cries. So you continue to wait and to pray. 

Friend, if your prayers seem unanswered, your needs unmet, or the road ahead completely blocked, don’t lose hope... As Lamentations 3:25–26 reminds us, “The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the LORD.”

Remember that your ultimate goal is living close to Me, being responsive to My initiatives. I can communicate with you most readily when your mind is uncluttered and turned toward Me.
