I am back with Week Five of Style Perspectives with The Blended Blog. Thank you to everyone that has joined us so far - we continue to grow each week, and it is exciting to see!  I hope you will join our link-up  - and thank you to everyone that has joined in.

This week we are styling bright pants.  I am recycling a look from last spring - and my bright red jeans.  These pants are very bright and loud - and so I tried to minimize the pants with more neutral black.  Also, I am wearing my favorite wedge sandals.  There are some almost identical ones for only $60.

(One funny note about these pictures - which is one of those moments I think all bloggers can associate with - when someone either yells something at you or stands and watches as you take your pictures.  Well when I was taking these - some college kid yelled - "nice senior pictures".  I was like - thanks a lot for the joke and making me laugh.  Also, I had to include a picture of this Dachshund - as I took the pictures, this poor guy was being chased by an albino squirrel.  Sorry - wasn't able to capture a photo of the squirrel.)

STYLE PERSPECTIVES : THE BLENDED BLOG
Here's a look back at Week 4 - and how all 14 of us styled a patterned top (or cardigan in my case.)

  1. Haha! We've never had anybody yell anything at us, but we get plenty of gawkers when shooting. I love this classic black and red look with the pop of leopard Lisa! You look great!

    1. Thanks you two! That was the first time someone said something - it is usually the people that stop stare - which makes me a bit self-conscious.

  4. Great pants, and I love how you styled them with black. And the little leopard is perfect with the outfit!

And, yes, I know the feeling of someone stopping what they are doing/where they are going and watching you having your picture taken all too well...

  11. You, my friend, inspired me to finally get on the moto band wagon. I love my faux leather moto - thank you. Love your look, and your story about the senior pictures. If they shouted that at me, I know they would mean senior (citizen). You look amazing.

    1. Thanks - I think I would gladly swap out these senior pics for my actual senior pics. I had chubby checks back then, and I dressed very modestly.

  19. Ever since your style series I've been looking for a moto jacket for a petite person. Most I find have zippers on the arms and they are way too long. Someday....

    1. I think that I have longer arms (or at least most of the sweaters are sometimes short) - but my jackets are always too long. Gap seems to have the shortest arms I have found - if they would make a jacket.
