Last week I shared a bold red sweater look, and this week I am sharing a pink outfit. With it being Valentine's Day this month, I thought it would be fun to style a pink sweater (and this one is only $20). Just like red, I don't wear a lot of pink. I am actually trying to think if I own anything pink - and I think I only have one pink item - this pink sweater.
My encouraging thought today is to be an encourager... We can improve our relationships with others by leaps and bounds if we become encouragers instead of critics. It is the greater person who does the right thing; Christ’s righteousness dwells in you to help you do what is right. You are great in God’s eyes when you choose to do right and bless others. No matter how rough your day is today, speak words that uplift and encourage those around you. Encourage others if you notice them doing a good job—not just those who work with you, but people wherever you go, such as store clerks, auto mechanics, and waiters... - Joyce Meyer (from this devotional)

It's Wednesday already. I hope you are having a great week so far!
This outfit is one that I remixed from a look I styled last fall HERE. Last fall, I styled the pink sweater with leopard flats and a black bag. Just swapping out the bag and shoes give a totally different look. I like both looks, but there is something about the white bag and the snake flats that I really like. I have always loved snake print - and I am so happy it is back.
MY DAILY FINDS & DEALS
I love this tote and the color - and it's over 60% off!
This classic white linen dresswith a tie waist is an additional 50% off.

As I have mentioned before, my black jeans are a wardrobe staple. Also, I love a white blouse, like the one above that can be worn alone or layered under a sweater. And, lastly, leopard boots (or flats/pumps) are essentials in my closet. They are a "neutral" that can be worn with pretty much anything.
The weather will soon be starting to warm up - and it is time to start transitioning to spring outfits. This look is made up of pieces that work both in the winter and the spring - and the layering of the blouse under the sweater is a great way to keep warm but also be able to adjust for different temperatures.
The blush pink sweater and white skinny jean outfit today was inspired by my post on Friday. Since our style prompt today on The Blended Blog is today is to re-create a look from someone, and I thought I would use this outfit from one of the first bloggers I followed, Pink Peonies. Her personal style has two sides - one more edgy and the other more feminine. Personally, I prefer the edgier-side. For her more feminine side, she has launched her own design business and has created some beautiful pieces, like this lace blouse or this lace skirt that are both on sale for 70% off.
As far as this look, it is a perfect transitional outfit from winter to spring. The lightness of the white jeans with the blush and the beige, and that floral scarf (that is only $10) brings it all together. And, if you are looking for a lighter-weight sweater to go with this look, I found this one that is on sale for $24.
Last thing, be sure to head over The Blended Blog and see what outfits my fellow friends are re-creating. My good friend, Deena, is re-creating one of my style boards! And, I love the look she created. (Be sure to head to her blog to see which look of mine she re-created - and to see the kind things she wrote about me HERE.) Besides great style (and hair), Deena is a supportive friend, and someone I wish was my neighbor - so we could hang out and talk. She has the best personality - makes me laugh - and shares in my love of old school hip-hop/rap music!
Are you watching the game? My favorite team (Go Pats!) is playing again - which makes the game so exciting for me. We are making chili, along with guacamole and pineapple salsa for the game. (And, as far as my favorite team - my husband teases me that I like the New England Patriots because Tom Brady plays for them; however, I have liked the team since the days of Drew Bledsoe.)
Anyone else like Pineapple salsa? It is the best! I'll share the recipe on Tuesday - if anyone is interested.
One last thing - the sweater I am wearing is only $13!
I hope you are having a relaxing weekend. I shared this leopard and pink outfit a few years ago. You can check out the full post HERE.
