It's Friday!

This week my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary.  Wow, where did the years go?!?  We originally had planned a two-week trip to Europe - but just one day after we booked our flights the pandemic became a real threat - and we canceled our plans. 

This week the Nordstrom Anniversary sale started.  Have you been looking at what other "digital influencers" (or what I still refer to as bloggers) have been trying on and buying at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  One thing I have noticed is that this seems to be a more "neutral" year with more beige, tan, and grey colors.

I have a feeling these booties are going to be a big hit - and the "boot to have".  We will see.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale launched yesterday for those that have "Iconic" status.  That is not me, but I have added a few things to my "wish list" for when I have access to shop (I just hope things are left when I can shop).  As I mentioned earlier, I will mostly be shopping for basics.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview + Important Sale Information

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts in a little over two weeks.  And, I think this is one of the most anticipated sales of the year (probably even more than Black Friday).  Since the catalog just got released this week - I wanted to share a few things about the sale - and what I am excited to shop and what I have bought in the past - that I still wear today.

IMPORTANT SALE INFORMATION & DATES TO REMEMBER
The only reason I got a Nordstrom card was to have early access to the sale.  I did not like to wait to see what was on sale - only to find out the good stuff was already sold-out.  Plus, it is kind of fun to get to shop early.  (My mom and I usually make it our annual trip to Nordstrom - since the nearest store is a couple hours away.) Also, I got a Nordstrom Visa card - so I can easily use the card anywhere - plus I earn points (that turn in to spending dollars) every time I use the card at Nordstrom.

July 13 – Early Access Begins for all Nordstrom Cardholders (You can sing up for a card here.)
July 20 – Last Day of Early Access
July 21 – Anniversary Sale opens to the Public
August 6 – Last Day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The preview catalog is now online and available here to check out!  I have looked through the sale catalog a few times and my overall observation is that ruffles, velvet, layering, and asymmetrical hems are going to be big trends for the fall!

Fall shopping has started with the big #NSALE.  (I am still enjoying summer - but all the fall colors make me ready to start wearing fall clothes.) The colors this FALL season from Pantone are earthy tones - like rust (Pantone Potter's Clay) and mustard yellow (Pantone Spicy Mustard) - and a rich grey (Pantone  Sharkskin).  The Spicey Mustard is one of my favorites, but the Potter's Clay and Sharkskin are so rich looking.
