As Nina Garcia on Project Runway said - “Tie Dye is having a real moment.” And, I will definitely agree. Tie dye has become the replacement to camo, leopard and snake print this spring season. Tie dye sweatshirts and sweaters are everywhere!
I styled this tie dye sweatshirt outfit with the popular white ankle booties and light wash straight "mom" jeans. I bought those ankle booties on sale (right now they are up to 60% off) - and I love the white color, it’s not pure white but a perfect ivory/cream color. Also, a style tip - I am starting to see rolled cuffs on jeans - a throwback to the early 90’s. Rolling these jeans with the ankle booties would be a great way to style them. (And for those us not as tall - it is a great way to get the right length.)
My encouragement today is about contentment. One of my goals this year was to read a new book each month. The book I am currently reading a commentary on Philippians on how to be joyful. I really liked this excerpt from the book.
"Contentment is not escape from the battle, but rather an abiding peace and confidence in the midst of the battle. “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content” (Phil. 4:11). Two words in that verse are vitally important—“learned” and “content.” The verb learned means “learned by experience.” Paul’s spiritual contentment was not something he had immediately after he was saved. He had to go through many difficult experiences of life in order to learn how to be content."
