Shop the Look:
Sweater: Banana Republic (Extra 50% off sale Code: BRSale - $39 on sale)
Boots: Ann Taylor (and extended calf) (Taupe version(Extra 50% off)
Watch: Michael Kors
Cluch/Pouch: J.Crew
Lipstick: Nars

This week I am joining the friends I met through the Get Your Pretty On Style Challenges to share something old, new, borrowed, and blue from my closet.

Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue:
NEW: This sweater. I bought it during the Cyber Monday sales.

NEW: Tall zipper boots. I bought these for 70% off (the sale price) on Black Friday. They are super comfy, and I love the gold accents - on the inside of the heel and on the outside zipper. I definitely recommend these, plus they are still on sale (and they come in a taupe color, too).

OLD: My gold Michael Kors watch. I have had this watch for several years, and it is starting to show its wear. The gold has rubbed off underneath and the edges are silver, but I love the mother of pearl face.

OLD: Leopard pouch/clutch. On most days, I use this as my make-up bag, but it is great to use as a small clutch on days when I don’t need a large handbag.

BORROWED: I am borrowing this look from my earlier post this week. These are the pictures/setting I did not use, which you can read about here.

BLUE: The sky??? I am stretching here - other than “blue” jeans - I only own two blue items - both of them jackets. (And why I have one of them is a story for another day.) Blue is a color I typically do not wear, which is the same with pink.  I stick mostly to black, white, gray, yellow, and red - the orange-ish hue, which is trending right now.

Bloopers:
With the negative digit temperatures (and wind chills in the double negative digits), I thought I would share some "bloopers" from a cold day back in December when I took these pictures.  Don't let the sun fool you, it was cold and very windy.  I live in the flat lands, and I don't think there is a day when it is not windy (except for in the summer when it is 90 and hot and humid and you could use a breeze). The wind creates some crazy windswept hair pictures (like my mini faux hawk bangs).

In looking through all the pictures, I did manage to smile in one picture. As you can see - if you look at my right hand - I had layered up for the photos - that is my favorite Caslon tee sticking out.  If you haven't tried the Caslon tees at Nordstrom - I definitely recommend them.)
